1914 Runabout

I think I have it about 85% finished. Next week I plan to drop of the body at the upholsters shop and then work on the rear-end. During that time, I plan to assemble the chassis and do some more painting. The fenders and hood are the last things to be painted. But as you know, it is a slow process as other things around the house just come up that needs to be done.

Received the following note from Morgan:

"When I rebuild the rear-end/differential I had to build a gig to hold the axles and differential up to work on  it.  Also, I have the body holding jig, the engine stand I built and some other stuff maybe someone could use.  I do need to keep them for a little while as I finish things up, but I will let you know when I am finished with them."

I assume Morgan would "loan" the jigs and support stands to anyone that could use them.

May 26, 2006 Update from Morgan:

Bill

I wanted to let you know (you probably already know) that Dave will be picking up the motor stand and body stand this Sunday (May 30).

Since the notice of a free stand is posted on the Arkansas Tin Lizzies wed site, you can remove it at your convenience.

Not much else is happening. The T is running good. I have had it out a few times to road test it and no major problems yet.

Now Available... Thanks Morgan!!!

Also... Morgan will loan the template for the bows if you pay the shipping.

Top Bow Laminates

While working on disassembling the top of my 1914 Runabout, the top bows, like most parts of a 92 year old car, needed to be repaired or replaced. Of the three top bows, one had retained the original shape..... (Click here to learn how Morgan made his own top bows.)
