Fall meeting
The fall meeting is set for October
15-17. There are lots of interesting tour stops planned. A few of these include
the Salmon Brothers classic auto collection, the Clinton Library, a tour of some
of the old homes in the Quapaw Quarters, a photo op at the State Capitol and a
Marlsgate Plantation tour as well as some country road rides and other stops.
Steve will be able to get us onto the Little Rock Air Force Base and tour a
C-130 flight simulator on Thursday afternoon. For security reasons to get onto
the base by October 1
you will need to
send or email Steve Bonifant the driver’s license and social security numbers
and addresses for all those coming on base. Also bring with you proof of
insurance for you Model T and a photo i.d. for each person entering the base.
The address is 1500 John Harden Drive, Jacksonville (501-985-4400.) From I-40 exit onto Hwy. 67/167, LRAFB. In making reservations say you are with the Arkansas Tin Lizzies.
We are now staying on the Air Base... see below. ATTENTION: MOTEL CHANGE FOR OCT. 15-17 FALL MEETING The Tin Lizzies will be staying at the Little Rock Air Force Base’s motel located on the base. The rate will be $39 per night with trailer parking available as well as security. Call the guest services manager, Darin Long, at the Razorback Inn on LRAFB at 501-987-7545. Reservations will be held until 6pm or with a credit card number on file until a midnight arrival. Check in time is no earlier than 2pm/checkout no later than 11am. Say you are with the Arkansas Tin Lizzie Model T Club. A Thursday 5pm tour of a flight simulator is planned. Be ready to depart the motel at 4:45pm for this event.
